About me

My first name is Emilie. I am a native of Nantes, a large French city close to the Alantic. I had the chance to live in New York from 2013 to 2016 along with my husband and my two children and develop my entrepreneurial project Histoires de pompons. Since my childhood, I love creating handmade crafts with unique fabrics, colorful papers, textured wools, glossy paints...My hands, along with my thoughts, create the reality. My inspiration comes from strolling through outdoor art&crafts markets during the Christmas season and Summer holidays. Flea markets especially give me a warm feeling of happiness. I love to immerse myself in this magical atmosphere. My two kids are my best inspiration springs and their daily routine becomes a magical world of creativity. My little girl loves to play with dolls, imagines stories and accessorizes them and herself! Songs and music play a huge part in our family life. Instruments are praticed along with singing and dancing together. My son continously sings while we walk to school. How amazing to rediscover my childhood songs through my kids. It's a little like my Madeleine de Proust.
